The Company:
Our client is a leading oil and gas industry.

The Role:
Provide instrumentation and controls engineering support to all phases of project design and execution. Serve as the point of contact for engineering contractors, fabricators, and vendors for instrumentation and controls design. Involved in maintaining and applying company design criteria, specifications as well as industry recognized standards.

Review Engineering drawings and instructions in order to design and develop a comprehensive test plan. Execute the test plan including instrumentation installation, document calibrations, system configurations, and data acquisition equipment.

Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation related issues including electrical, mechanical, and computer controlled systems. Assists in factory acceptance testing and field inspections. Typically requires three to five years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Works with a moderate degree of supervision within standard operating procedures. Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.

Must be willing to learn and comply with facility safety standards. Must be willing to learn and perform duties according to plant practices. Must be willing to work peacefully and respectfully with a variety of company and contract personnel (even if others are not).

Work may include cleaning and organizing shop or storage areas, organizing and maintaining inventory of shop supplies (such as tube and pipe fittings), assisting other crafts with projects, working with operations or engineering as needed, plus various other tasks such as snow removal.

Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and repairs as needed. Troubleshoot process and control irregularities. Work may include calibration/troubleshooting/repair of various electronic and pneumatic instruments including but not limited to: Various smart transmitters and valve positioners (HART), electronic and pneumatic transmitters and positioners that are not smart, electronic and pneumatic controllers, PLC hardware and configuration, various control valves and actuators, electrically/pneumatically/hydraulically/manually actuated valves, various handheld and process analytical instruments (gas detection, gas chromatograph, dew point, conductivity, PH, chlorine, and atmospheric monitoring). Some tube bending may be required for instrumentation or steam tracing.

Tasks may be physically demanding in difficult to access, hot, or cold environments. Instrumentation degree or certification preferred. LNG Experience or experience in hydrocarbon and/or cryogenic processes would be beneficial. TWIC required.
