The Role:
Basic Function:
Ensure that the Instrumentation erected at Site is in full compliance with Project Specifications, approved Project drawings and European & Belgian regulations. Make sure that Subcontractors fully comply with Construction Quality requirements.

Job Dimensions:
Ensuring Safety Start Discussions with E&I Subcontractor before signing the Work Permit with Production.
Controlling at Site that agreed Method Statement and Safety Requirements are taken into account by the E&I Subcontractor. Maximum presence at Site required.
Being the key interface between Project Lot 2B (ARDS and MHC-R Units) and E/I Subcontractor(s) for all Field Instrumentation works in Lot 2B, up to marshalling cabinets in ITR’s (including cable pulling, cable trays, hook ups...
Being specifically in charge of following the Site works execution to verify the quality of construction with regards to:
- Compliance to Project Specifications ;
- Pre-commissioning activities and tests (wire to wire, pressure tests, installation hook-ups, loop checks, etc.)
- European and Belgium regulations.
Surveilling the Site documentation Management System, i.e. ensuring the quality of the technical work and the technical integrity, reliability, functionality and safe operation of the design.
Following-up the Project schedule regarding Instrumentation tasks and coordination with commissioning and installation.
Following-up the as built documentation necessary for commissioning activities.

Principal Accountabilities:
Safe Execution of the works by S/C.
Execution of the works as per Drawings and ITP (Inspection Test Plan).
Report any Site Modifications to Field Engineering Team for Approval and As Built Documentation.
Application of Human Factors, Operability and Maintainability standards.
Interface in team spirit with Refinery correspondents.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have Engineering degree
Minimum 10 years experience in Refining or Petrochemical Industry to supervise construction activities relating to Instrumentation, Control and Safety systems.
Experience for new and revamp construction projects.
A documented experience in similar activities (oil refining or petrochemicals)
Knowledge of standard Safety rules and Quality processes.
Familiar with the construction of Instrumentation.
Fluent in English and Dutch
