The Role:
INSULATION INSPECTOR | LNG MEGA PROJECT
THAILAND
• Multi Billion Dollar LNG Project.
• Based in Laem Chabang, Thailand.
• FIFO 8/2 or residential packages available
A leading Operator within the Oil & Gas industry is actively recruiting for an experienced Insulation Inspector. This is a site based role working in a module fabrication yard in Laem Chabang, Thailand.
The specialist Insulation Inspector will provide Insulation competence to the onshore module fabrication yard team in their over-sight of the Onshore EPC Contractor.
Reporting into the QA/QC Lead – Module Yard, the Insulation Inspector will also be required to ensure the Client QC requirements are achieved for Insulation discipline aspects of Onshore LNG Module Yard Fabricator scope.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Assure compliance by the EPC Contractor and Fabrication Contractor.
• Ensure all agreed Contractor and Fabrication Contractor Insulation ITPs and procedures are implemented within the yard.
• Inspection of all Insulation related aspects and, where applicable, sign-off on behalf of the Company.
• Provide regular reports on Insulation discipline quality status/issues to the QA/QC Lead – Module Yard.
• Monitor Fabrication Contractors insulation materials receipt, storage and handling processes.
• Perform Company QC in fabrication yard testing (including applicator qualifications, records traceability).
• Review, monitor and closeout of Contractor and Fabrication Contractors Insulation NCR’s/ quality observations within the fabrication yard.
• Review Contractor and Fabrication Contractor Insulation records management and preparation for handover.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience required
• Secondary qualifications or higher or related trade background, with experience in related oil and gas fields.
• Relevant experience working with international codes (AS code experience preferred).
• Relevant Insulation qualification / certification.
• Performing Insulation inspection programmes for oil and gas capital resource projects at module fabrication yards.
• Minimum 10 years experience in Insulation based inspection, including Insulation installation and application, on onshore/offshore modules.
