The Role:
Client is seeking an Integrated Gascification Combined Cycle Engineering Specialist to join the Process & Control Systems Department based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The role will be working in the Downstream Process Engineering Division where the successful post holder will act as the Technical Authority in the challenging area of integrated gasification and combined cycle technology. The Downstream Process Engineering Division provides expertise in refining processes through the following services: catalytic conversion, distillation and treating, and flare and relief systems.

bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other related degree from an accredited university. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration would be desirable but is not essential.

A minimum 10 years of professional experience with extensive design and operating experience in integrated gasification combined cycle facilities.

Previous experience in troubleshooting and providing support to refinery facilities.

Experience in project commissioning, and retrofits and modifications.

Review and scope new capital projects.

Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.

Must be computer literate with advanced level of experience in the use of office and technical software.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Responsibilities to include:
• Provide proposals for the preliminary design of new process facilities, evaluation and review of in-process designs.
• Commissioning of new facilities and troubleshooting existing facilities.
• Optimization of existing operations.
• Introduction of new technologies to improve profitability and meet strategic objectives.
• Be a Technical Specialist in a large team of refining and petrochemical specialists providing support to company refining and petrochemical facilities and the technology program.
• Mentor and train future engineering specialists within company
