The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the development and delivery of Integrated Operation projects to the Oil and Gas industry with a primary focus on history and alarm management systems. The successful candidate will have good programming skills and a willingness to learn. In addition, candidates must be proficient in one of more software languages including VB, C# and C++.desirable.

The successful candidate will work in a project execution team specifying and implementing solutions and contributing to engineering design studies and proposals

Key duties will include:

1. Working as a key member of the project execution team through design, implementation, test, installation and commissioning with a focus on history and alarm management systems.
2. Work on a variety of FEED studies
3. Contribute to the development of new IO tools and technologies.
4. Support in the engineering proposal process
5. Ensure Health, Safety and Quality philosophies and procedures are adhered to.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified and/or CEng (HND minimum)
Application and system knowledge of Production Data Management Systems including historians and report generators.
Build, implementation and integration of solutions in the above areas.
Strong analytical skills required.
Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access.
Ability and willingness to work extended hours if required by customer project requirements
Must be prepared to travel off-shore and overseas

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
O&G experience
Knowledge and application of OPC technology, communications systems and network architecture
Previous large project execution experience
UK Security Clearance
