The Role:

- To support the Block 15/06 Commissioning Start-up Superintendent in controlling/manage the Commissioning & start-up activities associated with SPS & UMB.
- To manage\organise the Company Integrated commissioning and startup teams and the relevant interfaces
- To verify that Contractors respect all the relevant HSEQ procedures and regulations relevant to commissioning activities
- Prepare and support the execution of training programmes of local resources to be assigned to commissioning and start-up teams.

Main Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Key Activities:

- To coordinate the overall commissioning and startup process of offshore facilities, structures and/or sealines from initial construction planning through to final hand-over to production operations

- Responsible for:
o Managing all the integrated commissioning and start-up activities, meeting the planned targets
o Development of commissioning plan and procedures, together with discipline engineering and operations personnel
o Coordinating integrated commissioning and start-up teams activities
o Managing contracts relevant to the commissioning and start-up vendors
o Ensuring that adequate, competent commissioning personnel are available to undertake the work
o Ensuring that all contractors are competent and fully knowledgeable of Project HSEQ procedures
o Endorsing official documents, work progress certificates, handover certificates etc
o Providing operations start-up support and assistance

INTERNAL: Project development team. Other departments (other technical disciplines, HSE, etc)
- EXTERNAL: Partners, engineering team of contractors, headquarter project team and engineering dept

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent;
- At least 6-8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities;
- At least 5 years of experience in riser and flowlines sytems engineering for oil/gas field development projects.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English. Intermediate/good knowledge of Portuguese language is preferred;

- Specialist Knowledge: Engineering knowledge in the specialist activity

- Organisation Processes: Internal Standard, Suppliers qualification methodology and techniques, Feed-back development and diffusion, Technical audit and Design Review, Work team management methodology, Site Materials and equipment organization, Project Procurement Management, Contracting Strategy, Contract Management

- Supports and technologies: Standard ISO, TQM and Quality system, Technical requirement and Standard

- Compliance: Local/National and International Standard and Codes, Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Tender procedure

- Mooring Design: Mooring Design

- Plant Design: Mechanical Design
