The Role:
The Integration Engineer reports to the Supervisor Chassis Integration and cooperates with all relevant areas, with responsibility for the following :-
Interface between Carline Management and the functional areas.
Communication of program specific requirements to the design and release areas.
Lead definition of chassis system targets with regard to high level overall program compatibility on quality function, cost, timing, weight and recyclability
Support definition of chassis sub-system and component requirements & targets with regard to quality function, cost, timing weight and recyclability
Agree overall program requirement & targets with Chassis Engineering functions and program and lead the resolution of target conflicts.
Cascade gateway deliverables and support development of work plans accordingly.
Lead Function Led Delivery (FLD) process for cost and design compatibility, ensuring financial targets are met, or offsets identified, and the correct status is reflected by finance.
Lead Functional Decision Forum meeting and ensure appropriate escalation to Chief Decision Forum meeting.
Maintain BOM/CAD alignment.
Coordination of the Chassis Digital Pre-Assembly (DPA) and Design Verification process (DVP).
Lead the chassis PMT meeting
Active participation in program management meetings such as VLBT, PST,PMT,LMM, NMFL.
Represent Chassis Engineering in concern meetings with the responsibility, to review the existing concerns, cascade them to the system leaders and make sure that solution will be implemented quickly to clear the concerns.
Support prototype build and support prototype sign-off
Support program drive events
Support new program launches as required by program launch team
Initiate and support design reviews with Chassis Engineering and x-functional Managers.
Coordinate improvement initiatives on chassis product quality, cost and timing.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering knowledge and Program Management experience must be demonstrable. Ability to represent the department in management level program reviews. Tact, diplomacy and perseverance. PC literate. Full driving License.
Chassis Engineering experience an advantage
Numerate degree required

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of Ford Systems & processes would be an advantage
Product Development and volume automotive manufacture
Preferably Mechanical Engineering
