The Company:
Is a major oil and gas operator.

The Role:
The Project Security Advisor (PSA) reports directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for coordinating security execution of the client's deliverables. The PSA reviews Contractor schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other project elements. The PA strives for timely detection of trends and specifically deviations from the plan.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide overall project schedule, progress measurement, and change management leadership and expertise
•Facilitate a strategic interface between Upstream Business Lines and Global Security involved with the project
•Reviews project and operational security deliverables for consistency with GS and Corporate Security Expectations
•Steward the client's security-related performance metrics and share lessons learned
•Liaison with the client's Emergency Preparedness, Response and the client's Security Manager & Advisors, GS Security Advisor and GS Project Advisor
•Interface with Global Support Services, such as Procurement, Controllers, and HR regarding security issues
•Provide Training on the client's Framework on Security and Human Rights. Confirm contractor plans include Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
•Provide input into site and facility security plans
•Coordinate with contractors incorporating security system specifications into facility/camp design and construction / operations plan
•Coordinate the development of transportation and logistics security procedures
•Assist with SSC training (to include industry and government mandated requirements)
•Coordinate security risk assessments (scheduling, preparation, etc.) with the client's EPR&S Advisor, including: Security Risk Assessment (SRA), Security Surveys, and follow-up
•Coordinate unit security incident reporting and lessons learned sharing
•Provide input into contracting such as Bid pre-qualification, ITT language, Coordination Procedures and participate in Bid Reviews
•Coordinate security involvement in projects and Management of Change (MOC) processes
•Coordinate with the client's Security Manager security personnel staffing plan for construction of facilities (e.g. Site Security Contact, guard force, etc.)
•Supports the Project Team with ongoing project schedule analysis, reporting, and Change Management.
•Develop and document Schedules annual and multi-year, and ensuring that these products reflect the approved project design/execution scope
•Monitor and report on schedule implications of changes
•Participate in contract commercial bid evaluations (as required)
•Assist management in developing/reviewing schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented.
•Maintain regular contact with project teams and with the client's and their Functional Organizations.
•Maintain close liaison with planning Engineers in the project teams
•Provide feedback to Project planning and Control analysts on security schedule aspects of the project

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Bachelors of Science Degree
•5-7years prior oil and gas industry experience preferred
•Willing to work overseas in a team environment
•Willing to relocate to required project site
•Strong Influencing, Consulting, Mentoring, Analytical, and Computing skills
•Adaptability to changing priorities
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
