The Company:
Our client is a large multi-national organization which explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, gas and sulfur. They pride themselves in conducting operations in accordance with the world–class safety and environmental standards.

The Role:
The Interface & Logistics Coordinator is a member the Project Leadership Team, reporting to the Project Manager and providing interface and logistics support. Key job responsibilities include:
•Coordinating and tracking project interfaces and stakeholder alignment; between project and operations; between project and partners; between project and other projects; between project offices; between project and contractors / suppliers.
•Coordinating and contributing to the training and development of national staff.
•Managing overall project risk management process and ensure timely identification, assessment, mitigation and tracking.
•Coordinating project assurance activities, including benchmarking, project readiness and front end loading assessments, etc.
•Managing overall project Management of Change process
•Managing project level and strategic logistics including office and camp requirements, Atyrau office requirements; and major equipment purchase and delivery.
•Assist with the preparation of materials to be presented to management and attend various meetings with management, partners and auditors.
•Maintain close liaison with other departments, Contractors and Project Management Team members.

The ability to work as part of a team and effectively interact with project personnel and a diverse set of stakeholders is essential. Must be flexible and goal-oriented, and have strong personal skills, a professional demeanor and the ability to work with a minimum of direction. Prior experience in a similar role in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.

The Interface & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing interface, logistics and risk activities of the Crude Shipment Capacity Project (CSC) including the development and maintenance of interface matrices and plans, logistics plans including offices, transportation of materials and equipment and customs clearance activities, and risk management activities.
The Interface & Logistics Coordinator serves as a key member of the project team, tasked to ensure world class capital stewardship, consistently apply lessons learned and best practices, and foster an environment of Incident and Injury Free. The project will transition to phase 3 in late 2011, requiring a full time Interface & Logistics Coordinator during FEED to manage the interface, logistics and risk activities of the project, mentor national personnel, provide guidance and direction to Contractor’s personnel as needed and provide support during the execution of the project scope of work. The Interface & Logistics Coordinator will be accountable for coordinating assurance activities through Phase 3-4 of the CSC Project. This position will require close coordination with business functions, engineering & design, operations, partners and the construction contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The job holder must have prior interface and logistics management experience with not less than 10 - 15 years of experience. Prior experience in the region is beneficial. An engineering or technical degree is required.
