The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for onshore mega-projects in Alberta.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The Project Interface Coordinator provides overall guidance and leadership with respect between and among the contractor organizations and the Project Team. Develops and maintains the Project’s Contractor Interface Management Plan ensuring that it is aligned with the Principal Plan requirements. Coordinates contractors implementation of the management process for Interface Agreements and the Interface management tool/data-base . Ensures that the contractors’ interface management plans/procedures are developed in line with project plan requirements and that they are implemented and monitored to ensure effectiveness. Provides regular reports to Project Plant manager and ensures that the project team is kept informed of interface issues that could jeopardize project objectives.

** This position will begin in Calgary, Alberta for approx. 6 months and then mobilize to Cold Lake for a further 2 years **

Responsibilities and duties:

• Promote clear, accurate, timely and consistent communication with contractors and other organizations.
• Develop and maintain the Project’s IMP for external interfaces.
o Ensure that contractors understanding and use of interface management processes and plans are aligned with project plan requirements.
o Conduct workshops on interface management with project contractors to ensure common understanding and consistent use of tools.
o Support the contractors in their development of interface plans and procedures
o Ensure that contractors utilize consistent IA formats and tools aligned with project requirements.
• Maintain a central database for critical interfaces.
• Oversee and monitor contactors’ interface management activities project wide. Conduct regular project wide coordination meetings with contractors to ensure progress and resolution of interfaces
• Keep Plant PM and Project PM informed with respect to progress in resolving and closing out IAs.
• Assist in the interface agreement conflict resolution process.
• Identify and escalate to project management Interface Agreements that are not being resolved in a timely manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• BS in engineering discipline
• 3-5 years in engineering or operations assignments
• Demonstrates management, leadership and influencing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to adapt to changing priorities
