The Role:
To establish and manage the developments interface management system. Ensure the integration of the ESP and SURF engineering, fabrication, installation and commissioning with that of the FPSO contractor. Manage activities such that all plans and project schedules are fully met, by phasing in the interfaces to meet strategic milestones ensuring that the company’s objectives are met in accordance with the policies. Input to the reporting systems as required by the Company needs. Ensure coverage of overlapping interfaces is achieved compliance of the designed system through the verification process used by the IVB

• Establishes the Interface System within the Project
• Assumes control of the Seaflex system implementation and follows through the installation, operation and training in the contractor’s offices using the services of Seaflex contractors.
• Manages the interface activities between the groups during the define and the execute phases to final close out
• Compiles the procedures for the Interface system using the Knarr project procedure for guidance and implements
• Monitor the activities, via gatekeepers, of the contractors to ensure the veracity of interfaces and their qualification for entry.
• Review all interfaces for veracity and determine queries by the contractors and assist in providing timely responses.
• Manage the day-to-day activity of the Interface system in accordance with the project procedure for interfaces.
• Coordinate all interface movements ensuring delivery to and from Contractor in a timely manner to avoid schedule overruns.
• Establish regular interface meetings, under the interface manager’s chairmanship, with participating groups and ensure the derived minutes are entered into the interface archives.
• Identify relevant interface groups and ensure their compliance to training and execution needs
• Assist in coordination of change requests and variations ensuring all affected interfaces are informed.
• All work will respect the applicable Norwegian Standards and Regulations.
• Coordinate and participate in Design review, HAZOP, HAZID and Risk Assessments as required.
• Assist in monitoring work according to approved progress and schedule in all phases of the project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management of interface engineering
• Show a leadership record in implementation of interface systems (web based).
• Have supervisory experience in the control of contractors teams, at a project level, working together to ensure interface correctness.
• Experienced in the interaction with commissioning and working with the Project Control Teams to establish the required schedule logic on strategic interfaces.
• Have solid experience in the engineering phase of projects and understand the importance of correctly addressing overlapping interfaces
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and understand the need to provide a professional and prompt service to all stakeholders
• Ability to work in an English speaking environment with high percentage of Norwegian and International team members.
