The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil, Gas and Energy Industry. This role is based in Aberdeen and supports projects in the UK North Sea.

The Role:
Overall purpose of role:
This position is the Project Interface Manager to provide relevant expertise within the Project in the area of the Management and, where appropriate, close out, of Interfaces.

The role involves managing both internal and external sources of information and interfaces according to the project scope and schedule.

The role shall involve representation of the Project where appropriate to Contractor(s), consulting companies and service providers as appropriate to the needs of the work.

It will be necessary for the Interface Manager to proactively manage the information and respondents relevant to Project interfaces and it is accordingly expected that the role incorporates a requirement for significant mobility.

In a large a Project such as our client's project, the role of Interface Manager is fairly loosely defined as it is foreseen that the ideal candidate would have the ability and experience to fulfil the role in a proactive and reasonably autonomous manner, and with minimal direct supervision.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Function as a member of the Project Management Team
• Represent the Project within our client's organisation as well as towards external service providers
• Manage both internal and external interface parties according to the project scope and schedule to ensure timely and cost effective project delivery.
• Interface with the Operational Support team to ensure all of the relevant parameters and operational integrity information are fully addressed.
• Champion QHSE across the project
• Assist Project Team in co-ordination and management
• Accountable for controlling change and highlighting change issues to the Project Manager
• Be an active member of the project management team to drive single team behaviour

Please Note:
Although the role is based in Aberdeen it is envisaged that the Project Interface Manager would have a significant degree of mobility within this role.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Have a proven track record of involvement in projects at a similar phase of maturity and of a similar size and complexity.
• As a minimum be Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, skilled in the practice of Platform Design Engineering, with proven experience of similar projects.
• Knowledge of Greenfield Platform Developments is essential incorporating detailed knowledge of platform facilities.
• Knowledge and experience of production operations.
• Chartered Engineer (Preferred)
• Degree Qualified
• 10-15 Years oil & gas or related experience
• 5 Years Supervisory/Management experience in a similar role

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in the evaluation of tenders is required.
• Knowledge and experience of various contracting strategies and commercial structures would be preferred.
• The successful candidate should also possess familiarity with fabrication and construction practices.
