The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a interface technical assistant to join their URF team on a prestigious project

Primary Responsibilities

Occupational Health and Safety:
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.

• Work under instruction of URF Interface Coordinator to assist in resolution of URF Package interfaces to best technical / schedule / commercial outcome for the client
• Conduct interface technical administration duties (e.g. preparation of technical MOM / agendas, accuracy checking / update / confirmation of interfaces within IPIM system, coordination and follow up of interface issues with Package Engineers etc.) in accordance with the agreed Project Interface Management Plan methodology and procedures.
• Assist URF Interface Coordinator, URF Manager and other URF Package managers as required around coordination and administration of technical interface issues.
• Monitor interface performance within the URF Package and prepare interface reports.
• Review contractor execution plans to ensure compliance with the agreed Project Interface Management Plan and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Bring to earliest attention of URF Interface Coordinator any interface issues which present a significant threat to the URF package and suggest mitigating measures / work plan (following discussions with senior discipline engineers).
• Review and comment on internal project documentation and external consultant / contractor project documentation.
• Become thoroughly conversant with project documentation, specifications and procedures.

Technical Expertise:
• Monitor, through the IPIM system, interface data delivery between the URF Package / other package parties and undertake preliminary assessment of data technical completeness – revert to senior discipline engineers for additional guidance where ever necessary.
Advice and Leadership:
• Assist with development of a cohesive interface engineering process and resolution of interfaces, suggest enhancements to processes where appropriate in conjunction with the URF Interface Coordinator.
• Assist with anticipation, identification and resolution of detailed interface issues, in conjunction with senior discipline engineers and URF Interface Coordinator, in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Team Work:
• Provide support to the URF Manager, URF Interface Coordinator and other members of the URF Group as required.
• Develop strong teamwork with project personnel across other packages.
• Work closely with EPCI Contractor personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary engineering qualification.
• 5+ years technical experience preferably with design / fabrication / installation of URF type infrastructure and dealing with interfaces at scope boundaries.
• Experience working on other major subsea project scopes either within client or contractor organisations.
• Awareness of safe working and quality practices on offshore construction projects.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Willing to travel as required for business both internal and overseas.
• Ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
• Computer literate.
