Our client is a global operator in the oil and gas industry.

The Role:
Department: Supply Chain Management

Job Purpose:
Support the Business in meeting its objectives for Indirect Procurement Category requirements through the development of contracting strategies, the composition and issue of invitations to tender; objective bid evaluation; preparation and award of the final contract; negotiation s coupled with post award contractor performance management.
The Indirects Category includes Facilities Management; Travel & Hotels; IT Consulting, Services, Hardware and Software; HR Consulting & Services; External Affairs and Social Enterprise; Investor Relations; Consulting (including management; finance and engineering) consulting services, etc.

Responsibilities /Key Objectives:
• Support the respective sub-categories accelerate delivery of multiple contracts
• Demonstrates continuous efforts to work co-operatively and jointly to provide a quality and seamless customer service
• Close liaison with Business users and Functional Heads to understand requirements; review and plan demand; and support sub-category leads develop category plans for sourcing execution
• Participate in negotiations to successfully execute Group and country deals
• Develops contracting strategies for contracts / purchases including the establishment of Framework Agreements with regular suppliers, roll up of multiple contracts with same supplier and exploring global purchasing opportunities
• Reviews specifications and Scope of Work for completeness and enables technical functions to translate their requirements into a clearly articulated expression of commercial intent.
• Administers contracts
• Provides ad-hoc support to User functions on post-award contractual interpretation and administration matters coupled with contract provisions including explanations on processes, penalties, and compliance terms to Users.
• On request, resolves discrepancies in contract deliverables and prepares written documentation as necessary to enable clarity in interpretation.
• Support Supplier Performance management and supplier relationship management activities (where required)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The candidates need strong HR experience having done temp/contract labour sourcing and other areas of Indirects. We are NOT looking for someone with IT sourcing background and some FM experience for this role. HR experience is a must have.

• Minimum 5 years proven experience
• Exposure to Category Management and Strategic Sourcing principles and execution
• Experience of negotiations that have delivered savings across some of the Indiredcts sub-categories
• Demonstrated experience of having managed a spend scope that cuts across multiple geographies
• Contracts formulation experience with exposure to all disciplines and issues within the supply chain.
• Exposure to the end-to-end Procurement cycle from the development of category plans through to post contract administration and supplier management
• Demonstrated contracts management experience
• Experience of senior stakeholder engagement is a plus
• International exposure within an Oil and Gas operating environment is
