The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the delivery of IP components for all Company products within the IP Team, by using Company systems and applying theoretical, practical and innovative design solutions within the relevant Engineering discipline. Additionally the candidate should be capable of providing the Engineering function with detailed 3D and 2D design support, by using Company systems and applying theoretical, practical and innovative design solutions within the relevant Engineering discipline.

Scope of the Role

1. Responsible for the delivery of components / systems to the defined Product Design Specification or Task Description.

2. Ability to take an analytical and systematic approach to create optimal solutions to problems.

3. Ability to work within a team.

4. Responsible for developing and maintaining specialist technical and business knowledge/capability.

5. Excellent time management and self-organisational skills.

6. Engineering Release.

7. Responsible for developing, to first time release, relevant sections of the Bill of Material.

8. Accountable for the completion of all test, validation and certification of systems/components to demonstrate successful achievement of the above.

9. Responsible for prompt Concern resolution throughout the project, on owned components, and development of Engineering changes, including containment solutions if necessary.

10. Responsible at all times to follow and deliver the requirements of the company systems as defined by company Quality standards and procedures.

11. Ability to interrogate design such that it can be optimised to weight and cost targets.

12. Occasional overseas travel may be required in support of project working and delivery. There may at times be the opportunity to work extended periods overseas.

Experience & Qualifications

• HNC qualified or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate the appropriate level of experience.
• Preference to have degree in Engineering.
• Trained in CATIA V5 to automotive industry standards.
• Appropriate experience working as an Engineer within Automotive or Aerospace industry.
