The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their ongoing oil sands mega-projects in Alberta.

The Role:
The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure that the established planning and scheduling methodology is followed in developing project plans and schedules
• Develop network logic to support integrated schedules
• Develop Project and progress tracking baselines
• Perform Critical Path Analysis
• Coordinate monthly schedule reporting, including schedule forecast updates and schedule contingency management.
• A view to, and understanding of costs associated with said reports is required
• Support the development of the Work Breakdown Structure to support delivery of assigned projects
• Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules and perform contingency determination
• Integrate data from Company and engineering/construction contractors to feed into the monthly project reports
• Ensure Subcontractor compliance with established scheduling methodology and manage Subcontractor performance
• Assess and incorporate the impact of approved changes and any deviations from project targets and milestones, including productivity monitoring and identification of alternate approaches to optimise the plan(s)
• 5 x 8hrs/day location in Calgary

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred but other technical diploma/certificate can be considered.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferable to have WHIMS, and H2S Alive training, but not mandatory.
Required to have 5-10 years planning experience on oil and gas projects, strong hands-on skills in P6 and excellent communications skills.
Ability in other project controls activities (cost management, change management) would be considered an advantage.
