The Company:
A long established corrosion control company working in the oil and gas sector has a requirement for a permanent Internal Sales Engineer to be based in the Engineering Department of their Stockton on Tees office.

The company employs 65 staff and the Engineering team based in Stockton comprises 10 people. The total group turnover is circa $1000m. The company operates internationally with imports and exports in multi currencies. There is a manufacturing element to the company’s activities and

The Role:
We are looking for a pro active self starter with large project experience to fully execute the successful delivery of our materials projects from quotations and proposals preparation, customer orders to sales invoicing as well as providing technical and logistical support to Project Engineers.

Working alongside our Business Development Manager the role will include the following:
• Review of tender documentation and preparation and delivery of technical and commercial proposals.
• Commercial negotiations with customers in regard to scope of work, price, delivery, payment terms
• Coordinating proposal follow up and trending data
• Client communications – including drawings/specifications and data sheets
• Creating sales orders in our financial system with new part numbers as required
• Managing suppliers -obtaining best prices/certification and placing PO’s.
• Checking stock levels and raising PO’s in our financial system.
• Liaising with production, shipping and accounts departments
• Completing all relevant documentation including, issue and receipt of documents from Clients and engineers, updating document management systems, packing lists and shipping invoices,
• Providing any other support functions to the Engineering Department as may be required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Criteria
• Degree qualification to B.Sc or B.Eng
• At least 5 years of experience of preparing and negotiating sales and technical proposals, ideally within the oil and gas sector
• Methodical, dynamic, proactive, strong communicator
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships and proactively develop this role within the company
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office software (word, excel, lotus notes, adobe / pdf)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred Criteria
• Experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing Processes
• Commercial knowledge ideally in the oil and gas sector
• Experience of working in multi currencies (GBP and Dollars and Euros)
• Skills in negotiating with customers and suppliers
