The Role:
Responsible for ensuring that intranet content it up-to-date through supporting and training the intranet content owners.
Key services offered by this role are: on-going support of Intranet Content owners in the UK. Assist with migration to new intranet platform in the UK.
Train staff as part of Intranet implementation run by the Intranet team and lessons learned database
Train new staff who fill roles of content contributors, owners or expert users
Facilitate collaboration between Expert Users e.g. organize regular Expert User Forums
Ensure written training materials are fit-for-purpose and up-to-date
Assist the Intranet re-platforming and UK Intranet Content refresh projects
Identifying opportunities where Knowledge Management solutions can further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the UK Business Unit
Participating in Corporate /Intranet/communication initiatives to enable greater consistency across the organisation where appropriate.
Collaborates effectively with other teams, and actively encourages individuals to build networks, share knowledge and participate in joint problem solving activities
Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Continuously develops ways of working by seeking feedback from colleagues and key stakeholders. Complies with project management disciplines, effectively utilises knowledge databases and actively participates in project reviews
Looks for opportunities to develop technical and personal skills both by formal learning interventions and work experience. Coaches team colleagues where appropriate and demonstrates a personal commitment to lifelong learning

• People Processes - Engages with people processes in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrates a commitment to the spirit of such processes.

• Performs other duties, completes additional tasks and supports ad hoc projects as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience for support/use of Intranet solutions essential
Communication skills strong enough to work with user groups and organise/run/facilitate expert user sessions essential

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent preferable
Previous related experience – Information Management, knowledge management preferable
Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong planning and organisational skills
Highly flexible and adaptable
Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry
