The Company:
Our client has been established for over 20 years locally and is focused on delivering design solutions to the nuclear industry, specialising in the design of mechanical handling plant and equipment, the design and installation of plant control systems and the provision of support to plant safety reviews.

The Role:
Our client has won a major new contract and therefore needs to recruit an additional Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

The role will involve:
Equipment layouts
Supervision of detail design drawings.The work will 3D on Inventor.
Calculations - substantiation of design.
Hands on role as well as some supervisory elements.
Producing design documentation such as method statements, design risk assessments etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Min HNC in relevant subject. Plus relevant experience.
Experience of nuclear design - essential.
3D Inventor - hands on use - essential.
R&D background - new equipment

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably degree educated
Experience of working on projects for design work on Sellafield Nuclear plant beneficial.
Any experience of remote operated vehicles beneficial
FEA Analysis beneficial
