The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Role As Inventory Planning Manager you will be part of the Inventory management team and review policies with Sales and Operations input to improve the product availability, maintain market lead-times and maximise customer service through the setting of efficient inventory levels

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be able to multi-task, maintain a strong attention to detail, be able to manage activities to agreed timescales, define policies, develop plans and provide effective feedback to all levels of the organisation on status and risk.
You will have proven examples of the following:
Experience in Inventory management in a global setting with different layers of central and national warehouses
In depth knowledge of inventory management methodology, processes and systems
Experience working with SAP planning systems or an equivalent ERP system
An understanding of distribution planning and aftermarket service and support
Knowledge and experience of a variety of PC Applications: Access and Excel essential
Uses problem solving techniques and good judgment consistent with industry best practice
Able to manage time and resources to ensure adherence to multiple deadlines
A degree in a relevant discipline, including exposure at a senior planning or operat

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Your main responsibilities will include:
The definition and agreement of targets and action plan to meet the company cash objectives
Manage a team of Inventory Analysts
Alignment of corporate objectives with regional action plans
Co-ordination of regional reviews and effective feedback
Establish, monitor and maintain inventory policies. Calculate new policies on a monthly basis and recommend the adjustments necessary to optimise lead-time, customer service, freight and inventory targets
Define and create KPIs, generate information and participate in the decision making process necessary to reach actionable inventory plans and changes
Utilise Inventory Management tools and analytical capabilities to understand effectiveness of inventory, poor performance and obsolete such that corrective action can be taken
Participation in teams to deliver process change or achieve tactical initiatives
Develop data collection, storage and reporting techniques and systems to better ena
