The Company:
Our client is a major oil and gas operator who has operations throughout the world. This role will be working within the Exploration and Production arm of their business. This client offer a technically challenging environment working for one of the leaders in the oil and gas industry.

The Role:
The Investigation Authority is the expert who owns the investigation process and provides leadership and oversight to upstream operations in the Region to ensure high quality investigations are completed. You will ensure that root cause failure(s) are identified, actions developed, systematically reviewed, accepted and closed out.

You will be responsible for delivering the full process from risk identification, to planning and carrying out investigations, to recording all results and including them into the regional risk register. Managing a team of investigators you will you will be from a strong HSE background with a good understanding of technical safety, operational safety and asset integrity.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong HSE background with operational experience.
• Strong background in incident investigation for identifying deep system organisation root causes and learnings.
• Ability to network and deliver high levels of performance against demanding targets.
• Ability to influence and lead people including those out with own team.
• Ability to work under own initiative.
• Strong business awareness and knowledge of potential impact of actions both legally and financially.
• Ability to be innovative.

BSc degree or equivalent education / experience. Hold, or be working towards, a nationally recognised HSE technical qualification e.g. NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, ICHemE.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
