The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Develop and implement business applications, systems and procedures within recognized fields of Information Technology (IT).
1. Implement new and maintain existing computer/communication systems to ensure consistent computer application and communication channels.
2. Enhance and improve existing computer applications and communication systems to reflect new business needs.
3. Develop new computer applications and systems that could offer additional advantages to certain functions.
4. Evaluate and test off-the-shelf products to ensure their applicability to the client's business requirement.
5. Design, test and troubleshoot information security systems and solutions to ensure protection of IT assets at the client.
6. Manage data centre facilities infrastructure, and support relevant upgrade projects
7. Collect and analyse system utilization data to monitor trends and forecast future (IT) requirement.
8. Develop and manage project proposals, resources and plans.
9. Train and mentor newly hired IT Analyst.
10. Adhere to policies & procedures and security & safety regulations.
11. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
Additional duties as per assigned service lines within IT divisions:
• Install, customize and troubleshoot open computer/communication operating systems software and hardware required to maintain business functions, such as applications servers, database servers and file servers.
• Develop policies & procedures to effectively monitor and maintain the hardware and operating system.
• Develop and implement database management systems and related software in order to be used as a consistent source of information from various functions.
• Manage distributed computer storage facilities using automated storage management software and equipment to ensure that the reliability and integrity of corporate database are maintained.

• Set up efficient networks (e.g. Wide Area Networks [WAN’s] and Local Area Networks [LAN’s]) and maintain networking software and systems to ensure accurate and secure communication between different functions and across all of the client's locations.
• Update and maintain computer and communications general services and instructions to ensure compliance to the client's levels of services.
• Manage data centre facilities infrastructures to ensure that servers have adequate space and power, that hardware is properly cooled and that safety & security parameters are enforced in the centre.
• Evaluate changes to the computing infrastructure and assess the affect they will have on the performance of the system.
• Investigate system outages and hardware failure by documenting and developing effective solutions.
• Document the system’s performance using pre-set KPI.
• Analyse business functions and develop IT applications that would improve, expedite or integrate business processes and activities more efficiently.
• Maintain implemented systems and applications by monitoring their respective performance and diagnosing any serious problems or failures.
• Develop protocols, policies and procedures to protect the client’s IT assets, communication channels, and business functions.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering or any related field.
• C- Language proficient.
