Large International Exploration and Production Company

The Role:
This position is for an IT Business Analyst and reports to the Manager of IT Information Delivery, based in Houston. The successful candidate will provide support for GP processes, systems and users. Systems initiatives will include both enhancements to existing systems and implementation of new functionality and will be heavily focused on SAP applications.

Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the clients' business and business processes and a general understanding of technology and trends in technology, particularly those relating to Supply Chain. Attend industry conferences to enhance knowledge of business and technology applications used in the industry and network with peers.
Use their knowledge of the client organizations they represent and of Information Technology to identify business opportunities and translate them into value added IT deliverables. In doing so, place an emphasis on standard solutions that can be leveraged across the Company enterprise.
Liaise with the Internal IT Team and act as a coordination point for work involving our IT partners, Compliance, Security, Enterprise Services and Strategy & Planning groups. This includes the prioritization and progress-chasing of problem tickets relating to system issues experienced by their clients and the execution of relevant change management procedures.
Develop a strong working relationship with clients in the GP organization, both in Houston and the field offices.
Facilitate the setting of requirements and prioritization for system enhancements/projects.
Assist in projects requiring the ability to operate in a multi-discipline team environment with business clients, software consultants, and our IT partners.
Create written documentation including Requirements Lists, Decision Support Packages, Statements of Work and Client User Guides.
Strive to build their knowledge of the IT solutions leveraged by their clients and stay current with technologies that may increase productivity in client base.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree: Bachelors

Major Discipline: MIS, Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting or other technical discipline

Years Experience Required: 2-5 years experience with Information Technology or Supply Chain business

Computer Proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, SAP

Experience with one or more of the following areas of SAP functionality is desirable:
Materials Management (MM)
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
SAP workflow and/or other relevant workflow tools such as Adobe Livecycle
Supplier portal functionality, including NetWeaver (Enterprise) Portal, Supplier Self-Services (SUS)
BusinessObjects (BOBJ), including Business Intelligence (BI), Spend Performance Management (SPM), reporting, dashboards, visualization tools
Master Data Management (MDM)
