The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
The IT Governance Team is responsible for Strategy, Quality, Financial, Supplier, Portfolio, Resource Capacity and Capability management as well as Enterprise and Process Architecture. We also work very closely with the Chief Information Officer on strategic initiatives in order to drive the IT department forward.

This role focuses on Portfolio, Financial, Resource Capacity and Capability management. The aim is to ensure the effective and efficient use of IT resources (people and budget) to enable the company to achieve its goals. In addition the role must support areas of collaboration and synergy across the IT function and Group IT, supporting appropriate Group IT reporting requirements.


- Portfolio Management
Development and management of the IT Prioritisation Process
Preparation and presentation at monthly executive, cross-functional IT Prioritisation Board meetings
Formation and change management of annual IT Project/Programme Portfolios
Development and management of Project and Portfolio Management tools & processes
Portfolio status monitoring and reporting

- Financial Management
Investment planning and management
IT financial controlling
Management and processing of Group charges for IT systems (DLVs)
Creation and reporting of key performance indicators

- Resource Capacity and Capability Management
Resource demand and capacity planning and reporting
Capability planning aligned to the IT Strategy
Forecasts for external resource capacity and capability requirements

- Functional Supporting Activities
Facilitation of workshops and events, support for engagement action planning, contribution to departmental communications (e.g. Intranet / briefings etc.)


Degree (or equivalent) in Computing / Business Administration / Finance related subject or equivalent
Project and / or Programme Management (e.g. Prince 2, MSP)


Budget management / financial planning
ITIL qualification (IT Infrastructure Library: a set of comprehensive and inter-related codes of practice, useful to achieving the efficient support and delivery of high quality, cost effective IT services)
Professional body membership e.g. BCS (British Computer Society)
German language


Experience of working in a project and service delivery environment, having had exposure to project, resource capacity and financial management processes and issues
Experience of systems development methods and tools
Evidence of strong communication skills
Ability to influence at all levels
Must be able to organise and manage workload to reflect company priorities
Analytical and decision making skills
ITIL awareness
Experience of process design and documentation
Knowledge of project methodologies and tools
Agile Project Management


Demonstrable experience in delivery of projects, process improvements and presentations to a senior audience
Knowledge and experience of IT Governance or Project Management Office (PMO) environments
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of business change and process management
