The Role:
• Build and maintain servers and storage appliances as required for operations / projects (Wintel / UNIX).
• Monitor servers and storage appliances ensuring high availability by performing preventative maintenance.
• Patch servers and storage appliances to ensure operating systems / firmware / are maintained to an appropriate level.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange 2010 Enterprise and e-mail products.
• Administer Citrix Farm, Secure Gateway and RSA Token Server
• Administer Virtual Machines in project / remote offices
• Administer and maintain Active Directory forest.
• Administer and maintain effective backups in association with the Network Systems Manager
• Restore data and applications from backups as required.
• Provide second line support for the Service Desk – problem escalation.
• Assist Systems and Network Manager in the provision of general IT systems, services and support for organisation.
• Provide 2nd line Microsoft software support to users.
• Assist Applications Specialist in the provision of support for software programs as required.
• Provide additional support as deemed necessary by operational requirements including on construction sites / overseas and offshore locations.
• Work in compliance with the Company’s Business Management System
• Active participation, promotion and development of the Company Safety and Environment policies.
