The Role:
As a Project manager working within our IT Department, but integrated very closely with our Engineering and Production Planning teams, you will be at the centre of this change, providing a fantastic opportunity to focus on providing solutions in support of the engineering development projects. Key role will be building effective customer relationships across the business with relevant stakeholders and ensuring successful delivery, on time and to budget, of Key Projects and Programmes in line with business objectives and strategies.

The Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive relationship with the business customers, identifying their needs and ensures that the appropriate services and application solutions are delivered at the right time.
The Project Manager will act as the focal point for the Engineering and Production Planning business for process related to demands.
The Project Manager is responsible for developing & implementing technical solutions and software as appropriate to client infrastructure landscape. These solutions will be developed within the stages and quality gateways of the “IT PEP” (IT Product Emergence Process). They are expected to be the focal point for managing, developing the solution and maintaining the appropriate documentation.

The Project Manager is responsible for Project Management, Relationship Management, Demand Management, Architecture Management and Domain Management to ensure that solutions are proposed by using the appropriate technologies. This includes all process steps from Order Clarification, Design and Implementation incl. Quality Management, Solution Introduction incl. Training Proposals and Change Requests and Support.
Change Requests and Support are an on-going process and for application optimization and 3rd Level Support. Project management and implementation of change requests (new features and changes) are required. The Project Manager may also have some responsibility to coordinate the activity of others, allocated to a project or task, that has been assigned to them. In addition coaching of other team members in relation to processes, techniques and skills as necessary.
The Project Manager is responsible for the Projects budget and reports on a monthly base. It may be required to run several projects at the same time.

• Ensure all applications are supported and help drive improvements to the underlying platform, framework and group projects
• Interaction with the other Product Process project members to secure the whole engineering process view
• Build relationships with core business customer/users
• Build relationships with Group project managers
• Manage Steering Committee meetings
• Responds to incidents (3rd Level) and problems in a timely and accurate manner
• Conducts root cause analysis and accurately documents the reported issues and resolutions
• Propose the design and implementation of processes and process improvements
• Works with business to define requirements for enhancement requests
• Works on cross functional projects and represents the IT Product Process view
• Create and deliver new Master Construction Plans for Program and Project Planning

• Demonstrable experience in an IT related application or technical area with supervisory or management control over projects and resources
• Must be able to organise and manage workload to reflect company priorities
• Evidence of successful delivery of strategic projects with targets
• Evidence of interpersonal skills appropriate to the role, good communication and influencing skills
• Analytical and decision making skills
• Wide-ranging business process knowledge or the ability to gain the required knowledge quickly in Design Engineering and Production Planning
• Experience of complete project life cycles from project initiation to implementation
• ITIL awareness (IT Infrastructure Library: a set of comprehensive and inter-related codes of practice, useful to achieving the efficient support and delivery of high quality, cost effective IT services)
• Evidence of successful programme management would be beneficial
• Knowledge of the IT processes (e.g. IT PEP-IT Systems Engineering Process)
• Project coordination and personal organisation skills
• Analytical and decision making skills
• Good communication and influencing skills
• Good problem solving and risk management skills

• Project Management Qualification like Prince2 or PMI and relevant Project Management responsibility and experience
• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Computing/Business Administration related subject
• Engineering process and specifically Automotive process knowledge which includes a demonstrable understanding of how an IT application landscape supports this
• An understanding of ITIL and ITIL certification is desirable
