Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
The Transition & Strategic Change Senior IT Project manager will be responsible for the successful realisation of the overall Transition from our current IT service provider to a new partner, ensuring service levels are maintained and new processes and tools are embedded. In addition this role will be responsible for a number of initiatives to enable the IT department to achieve its longer term objectives and enable the business to achieve its strategic goals. A key aspect of this role is people change management, ensuring that communication, engagement and expectation management are an integral part of the programmes and initiatives.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Programme and Project Management
Planning, execution and closure of significant IT Programmes and related Projects. This includes the management of the resources (people and budget) assigned to the programme, as well as status reporting to the Programme Steering Group and IT Prioritisation Board.
Investment planning and management (planning round for investment).
Contribute to the definition of the long term application landscape (MCP) and ensure programme and project alignment to this.
Management of Change requests in the programme and project portfolio
Planning and coordination of all technical requirements.

2. Relationship, Demand and Architecture Management
Business Relationship Management, Request Demand Management, Architectural Management to ensure solutions are proposed using the appropriate technologies and consistent across multiple projects.

3. Clarification and Conception
Order Clarification - Preparation of estimates of resources required to deliver IT solutions. Contribute to the development of a business case and the calculation of ROI (Return on investment) calculations.
Definition of roadmaps, technical components, long term implementation strategy

4. Service Design and Implementation
Definition and design coordination of IT Services
Service Level Management and Service Level Transition

5. Service Transition & continuous improvement
Planning of service transition and handover to run teams.
Ensuring continual service improvement


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Proven experience of delivering significant strategic projects, with evidence of meeting cost, quality and delivery targets.
Demonstrable experience in an IT related application or technical area with supervisory or management control over projects and resources.
Must be able to organise and manage workload to reflect company priorities.
Evidence of interpersonal skills appropriate to the role, good communication and influencing skills.
Analytical and decision making skills.
Wide-ranging business process knowledge or the ability to gain the required knowledge quickly.
Experience of complete project life cycles from project initiation to implementation.
ITIL awareness (IT Infrastructure Library: a set of comprehensive and inter-related codes of practice, useful to achieving the efficient support and delivery of high quality, cost effective IT services.)
Evidence of successful programme management would be beneficial.
Knowledge of the Group IT processes (eg IT PEP-IT Systems Engineering Process.)
Knowledge of Group systems is preferred but not essential.
Architecture Management Skills.

Oracle & SQL
Oracle App Server
SAP various – Process, Development, Programming, Netweaver
Web Skills – .Net and Sharepoint
CAE – Automotive process knowledge
Catia LCA – Development skills


QUALIFICATIONS

Degree (or Diploma) Computing/Business Administration related subject or equivalent.
Advanced Project Management (eg. Prince2 higher).
ITIL certification (IT Infrastructure Library: a set of comprehensive and inter-related codes of practice, useful to achieving the efficient support and delivery of high quality, cost effective IT services.)
