The Company:
A major oil and gas company located in Downtown Houston.

The Role:
The IT Support Analyst will sit on the technical help desk assisting with calls and support tickets as they come in. The primary customers supported are petrotechs(geologists, geophysicists) utilizing high end hardware. This role will be responsible for taking Level- 1 and 2 type support calls assisting where possible and passing it along to the proper team as needed. This role will also require imaging brand new hardware with a Windows 7 O/S for end users.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Sit on the Subsurface Computing Help Desk and assist with answering our critical support phone line as well as responding to support tickets as they come in
• Deploying hardware setups to end users
• Imaging hardware as it comes in with a base Windows 7 image
• Collecting and decommissioning end of life hardware

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• At least 3 years IT experience, preferably 1 or more of those within an Oil and Gas Environment
• At least 3 years of experience in a user facing desktop support role
• Excellent troubleshooting and self-help skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely over the phone, through e-mail, and in person
• Experience working with a ticketing system
• Strong understanding of Windows 7
• Experience imaging brand new machines with Windows 7
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in MIS
• Experience will be considered in lieu of degree
