The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest Oil and Gas companies based in Perth CBD. They currently have one of the largest LNG project in WA. They are currently recruiting for a Desktop Support Officer to join the company

The Role:
Junior Desktop Support Officer is accountable to the IT Systems and Network Manager for providing on-site hardware and software support that meets the requirements of the company.

The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of efficient work practices within the workgroup and will be required to undertake ad-hoc IT projects.

The Junior Desktop Support Officer responsibilities include :
• Diagnose, analyse and solve or escalate to Level 2 Support
• Deploy SOE on workstations and notebooks
• Configure TCP/IP Printers
• Other tasks as allocated by the IT Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Suit recent graduate

• Demonstrated service orientated approach to customer support and the ability to communicate in a patient and diplomatic manner with users at differing levels and degrees of familiarity with IT systems
• Ability to diagnose, analyse and solve problems including the ability to anticipate problems, evaluate alternatives and formulate clear and effective solutions for business outcomes with accurate documentation
• Practical experience in working with and maintain IT systems including, Windows networked environments using TCP/IP and other communication protocols.
• Practical experience in deploying and working with a Standard Operating Environment
• Knowledge of PC applications, including spreadsheets, word-processing, PowerPoint, databases and communication packages.
• Sound knowledge of PC hardware and software setup and configuration
