The Role:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to;

Management:
• Serves as a company subject matter expert on Telecommunication and Networking Technology such as Wireless, Wimax, LTE, Microwave, Radio communication (VHF, SSB, UHF) and IP data/voice networking.
• Evaluates new telecom technology and makes recommendations for optimum solution to support business requirement.
• Perform feasibility study, financial analysis and cost study for telecommunication infrastructure project
• Develop telecommunication system requirement, technical specification, engineering design with conform to Chevron CIRS, Telecommunication Industrial standard, law and regulation.
• Prepare Telecommunication Project RFP (Request for Proposal) and performs evaluation and selection
• Develop Telecommunication technical or service specification and set criteria for sourcing/bidding.
• Provide consultancy of telecommunication system and service, review project engineering document and make recommendation, especially in radio-based communication
• Develops project and implementation plans and ensuring projects effectively communicate throughout team members and all stakeholders.
• Performs project management for the implementation and execution of Telecom/Network projects and ensure project's quality meets accepted standard and are successfully completed on time and within the planned budget
• Manages vendors, contractors and team members for effective mobilization throughout project life cycle.
• Interact with IT Infrastructure groups at Songkhla and Offshore for coordination in Telecommunication, LAN/WAN,
Radios-Based Transmission, Wireless, Wimax systems design, Installation, modification, maintenance, technical training, technical troubleshooting and support.
• Liaise with PGPA for radio license and permit applications.
• Liaise with various telecommunication authorities and service providers to ensure the telecommunication services acquired by company are comply with law and regulations.

• Mentors and develops the skills of others. Helps others understand the need for change when necessary and aligns their individual objective


Business Knowledge:
• Possesses an understanding of upstream oil & gas business work and nature of offshore working environment as well as limitation to be able to translate customer requests into concise telecommunication solution technical requirements.

Interpersonal/ Communication Skills:
• Able to actively/effectively participate in the Network and Telecommunication community of practice both in Global Upstream, ITC and ETC.
• Able to clearly convey technical concepts and project information orally, and in written form. Able to distill complex telecommunication technical issues into a few simple points, and communicate with key project stakeholders
• Has experience and strong facilitation and collaboration skills.
• Good listener, ability to understand key points in conversations, asks for clarifications, recommendations, concerns and ideas generation.


Required Qualifications;
- Bachelor degree or higher in Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, or any related fields
- At least 7 years experience in Telecommunication or Information Technology.
- Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred and is an advantage of being familiar with applying IT and Telecommuniation technologies to Offshore working environment.
- Strong knowledge in telecommunication technology and telecomm industries with experience in managing telecommunication project is preferred.
- Well-developed interpersonal and team working skills
- Disciplined and structured work habits
- Good English verbal, written and presentation skills – minimum TOEIC score 650
- Able to communicate both written and spoken in Thai as native language.
