The Role:
Purpose:
The J-Block Materials role will plan and coordinate J-Block materials movement offshore x and other related offshore locations such as flotel/s during the project. The role will be a member of the integrated planning team and work with the Offshore Material Teams, Project & Operations Materials and Logistics Onshore Operations Group to prioritize and execute J-Block materials movements.

Accountabilities and End Results:

The role will be a key support role to the integrated planning team accountable to ensure that materials movements are comprehensively planned and closely linked with integrated plan requirements. The role will be an independent contributor. The role shall be responsible for effective and proactive interfacing with all necessary parties/functions to ensure smooth and efficient movement of materials in support of offshore activities
Primary Functions & Dimensions:

• Materials movement focal point for Operations & Maintenance materials
• Work with integrated planning team to understand integrated plan priorities. Interface with Operations Planners, Projects Material Controllers and Logistics, in the event of potential conflicts regarding shipment of materials, so that priorities are discussed, identified, agreed and closed out prior to shipment.
• Work with Logistics and all other applicable parties to ensure that all potential deckspace restrictions (both on vessels and offshore locations) are considered and any potential oversubscription events are identified, discussed and resolved well in advance of material movement (with target time being 7-14 days prior to material movement for all issues to be resolved)
• Create a Material tracker for the robust management and control of materials, so that work order components can be tracked, expedited, receipted, consolidated and stored in advance of planned shipment dates.
• Work with QA/QC, Procurement Buyers and Expeditor on a regular basis to ensure purchase of materials at the right time, and delivery to the warehouse on time.
• Work with 3rd Party Vendors to ensure delivery and shipment of planned materials & equipment.
• Build a rolling prioritized manifest based on planned events in the forthcoming 30-day period
• Ensure that all changes to planned material movements are effectively communicated to ensure that all related personnel movements are suitably amended

Organisational Fit:
This role is an independent contributor role which will report to the Operations Planner with a dotted line to the Brownfield Materials Lead. The role will work closely with Offshore Material Teams, and the Project & Operations material and Logistics groups.
Challenges:
Describe the major challenges of the role. What types of challenge/conflict will the incumbent experience and resolve?
• A number of process changes must be made to streamline materials movement to ensure that the Jasmine brownfield can be executed successfully. This position will play a leading role in driving these changes and ensuring compliance with the changes.
• Must be able to manage and progress a significant number of tasks/issues at any given time.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Critical Skills:

• Minimum 5 years experience of logistics support to the offshore Oil and Gas industry
• Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation in an influencing role
• Comprehensive understanding of Materials & Logistics processes to include base/quayside, marine and aviation activities
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Strong user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Planning experience plus a good understanding of offshore construction projects and multi-location activities
• Conflict resolution and Facilitation skills
• A good knowledge of SAP.
• An understanding of SLA for cargo.
• Experience of Customs Procedures
• Knowledge of Manual Handling Techniques
• Experience of Warehouse Procedures
• Offshore experience an advantage but not essential.
