The Role:
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for various General, Financial and Joint Venture Accounting monthly activities which includes accounts receivable collections, month end close processes, billings to partners, allocations, resolving partner inquiries and providing monthly financial data to management. Other responsibilities include monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, and ad hoc reporting.

* Accounts Receivable - Monitor collections, prepare aging schedules and customer account statements.
* Invoicing - Prepare ad hoc invoices
* General Ledger - Maintain, monitoring and analyze account activity.
* Prepare and record journal entries.
* Perform account reconciliations
* Record various accruals
* Record Cash applications
* Review Joint Operating Agreements
* Record Non-Operated Joint Interest Billings
* Record Boat & Helicopter allocations
* Maintain EnergyLink system mapping tables for non-operated Joint Interest Billings
* Record Cash applications
* Ensure joint venture cash calls are applied and reconciled in a timely manner
* Inventory and allowable cost
* Process handling fees

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
* 7 - 10 years of oil & gas related experience, specifically in general/financial accounting and joint venture accounting activities
* Experience with Joint Operating Agreements and COPAS guidelines. Must know all facets of JIB
* Must have a strong understanding of Joint Operating Agreements
* Must have a strong understanding of accounts receivable and how it pertains to Joint Interest Partners
* Strong understanding of the balance sheet and income statement
* Understanding of IFRS and U.S. GAAP
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and computer application skills. Must have advanced Excel skills
* SAP experience preferred
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to organize and prioritize workload
