The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil & natural gas industry, including exploration & production, manufacturing, marketing & transportation, chemicals manufacturing & sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables & advanced technologies.

The Role:
The job holder is key to the implementation and execution of safe working practices in general and road safety in particular.
Road transport is a high risk activity and the job holder will ensure that proper planning, authorization and risk assessment prior to execution of a journey.

• Minimize Road Transport HSSE exposure and consequences through the alignment JM plans across Wells, Construction and Operations as well as with the HSSE & Road Safety team
• Implement strategies that seek to minimise the number of journey’s undertaken across the venture
• Schedule and manage resources and infrastructure
• Implement and refine as necessary the Journey Management process across all business functions of Construction, Wells and Operations
• Ensure for all journey’s undertaken across the functions of Construction, Wells and Operations that there is a Journey Management Plan in place and that actual journey’s are then monitored for compliance against these plans
• Forward planning and challenging of journeys to ensure efficient use of resources in order to reduce exposure and to manage in-field traffic
• Coordination and consolidation of journeys
• Coordinate with security to ensure effective and efficient check point crossing
• Utilization and trend monitoring for optimization of resources
• Monitor and track driver approvals and vehicle inspections
• Provide technical support and oversight to JM’s when they are facilitating the transit of over-sized loads and convoys.
• Deliver KPI’s that provide transparency across the venture for JM activity
• Manage staff reporting both direct and indirect as advised.

The job holder is co-responsible with the HSSE Road Safety Leads for implementation of road transport and related policies, procedures, manuals, standards and guidelines.

• National and international Laws/Regulations

Main Interfaces for the position are:
o Production & Maintenance Operations Team
o Construction
o Project Delivery
o Security
o Community Liaison Officers
o Road Transport vendors and Service Providers
o Other Contractors and Service providers with road transport activities as part of their scope
o Local or regional organizations with significant influence on road transport HSSE

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A well structured and organized individual with a high level of project management experience
• Capability to develop and revise processes as the project develops and then lead the implementation of revisions to ways of working
• Working experience from road transport planning, execution and scheduling;
• Highly motivated and able to work in a high intensity and changing environment;
• Able to challenge the needs of clients in a positive constructive manner with a view to optimise logistics solutions;
