The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
As part of the HVdc Specialties Contracts Administration team, the Junior Contract Administrator (Jr. CA) supports the day to day contract administration of three (3) large, major contracts and of any other contract as identified by the Sr. CA. This includes preparation and issue of correspondence, minutes of meetings and other contractual documents; verification, negotiation and recommendation of Payment Certificates under the supervision of the Senior Contract Administrator. The Junior Contract Administrator will also maintain the contracts Actions list and prepare the periodical reports required by Management from the contracts team.

As a Junior Contract Administrator your main duties will involve:
• Maintain electronic and hardcopy filing of contract documents, correspondence (emails and letters to / from Contractor), contractor daily, weekly and monthly reports, invoices, etc.
• Assist with the Change Management Process including:
o Maintaining change management logs (i.e., Change Requests, Change Orders, Site Instructions, Field
o Work Orders, etc.)
o Preparing and issuing Change Requests to contractors.
o Reviewing contractor Change Requests including evaluating entitlement, negotiation, and processing for
o approval.
o Preparing Contract Change Orders and obtaining approval.
o Claims / Potential Claims Mitigation
o Administering the back charge process, where required
• Assist with preparing formal correspondence to contractors (Letters)
• Participating in meetings with contractors, taking minutes and issuing them for acceptance by the participants.
• Verifying payment certificates submitted by contractors including verification that they meet contractual requirements, that the necessary back up is attached and supports the amounts requested and that the calculations are accurate.
• Maintain the action list of each contract with the help of the meeting minutes and correspondence issued.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Junior Contract Administrator you will have experience:
• Minimum three years of prior contract administration experience (preferably some pre-award and post-award
• experience)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to meet short deadlines
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Desire to improve contract administration skills
