The Role:
Reporting to : Head of AIFA – Asia and Australia

Objective Prepare and be responsible for financial models, financial analysis, valuation and risk analysis of new projects (with assistance / supervision of senior members of the team as appropriate). Assist with preparation of financing plans, selection of funding sources / banks, the structuring and execution of project financings. Assist with or (when delegated) be responsible for non-project related AIFA activities (e.g. annual impairment tests, lookbacks, etc). The role is Region-wide, and although the focus is expected to be Philippines flexibility is required to be able to support other Asia countries or Australia as and when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum required Qualifications
Degree / Experience • Finance / Economics based degree or a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) or other (engineer)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (preferably within a sponsor-side AIFA / project finance team or within a bank, financial advisory firm and/or accounting/fiscal advisory firm)
• Proven experience in financial modelling and up-to-date proficiency in Excel (including writing basic Macros)

Specific Knowledge / skills
• Strong and proven analytical skills, including proficient financial modelling
• Commercial acumen with good understanding of accounting topics and tax structures
• Planning ability and capacity to deliver on plans and to work independently
• Leadership qualities advantageous, strong self motivation a must
• Able and willing to learn on the job and to share experiences across the team
• Presence and interpersonal credibility advantageous
