The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
The Junior HSE &Emergency Response Advisor will have the responsibility:

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of LCMC Health and Safety management system, procedures, process and toolbox in compliance with local statutory and corporate requirements.
Promote Zero Incident Mind-set continuously within the NE-LCP (e.g. Behavior Based Safety Program).
Implement and communicate LCMC’s Health and Safety toolbox.
Support leadership on HSSER matters with all transmission line personnel.
Apply elements of the LCMC’s Emergency Management system.
Monitor Health and Safety performance within the project’s workforce, including being visible in the field interacting with workers.
Fully understand each contractor’s H&S programs and support their effective field deployment. Where appropriate, provide input into these safety programs and safe work practices.
Ensure Lessons Learned are captured and reflected in ongoing work in order to deliver upon the continuous improvement mind-set.


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Junior HSE &Emergency Response Advisor will have previous experience:

Minimum of 2 to 5years experience with involvement in field implementation Health and Safety programs in construction projects.
Experience working with contractors and suppliers to ensure their Health and Safety Management systems meet or exceed client’s minimum requirements.
Experience in conducting Health and Safety Management Systems Auditing.
Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and industry standards.
Competent in conducting risk assessments and training.
