The Role:
The Pipeline Engineer’s principle accountabilities are:
* Support the Senior Pipeline Engineer (Inspection,Maintenance & Repair) in the execution of his / her responsibilities;
* Execute work and supervise contractors to ensure safe & efficient delivery of pipeline inspection and remedial work activity plans;
* Develop scopes of work,schedule and execute the pipeline inspection and Maintenance programs safely and on time,within budget and to the required standards. These to include Sonar,ROV,Diver,Intelligent Pigging inspections and maintenance of subsea pipelines,risers,protection structures and above water and subsea valves,Cathodic protection systems,Emergency shut down valves,pipeline launchers and receivers as well as Alarm & trip setting checks;
* Analyse inspection and maintenance findings,prepare scopes of work and plans for remedial actions and manage or co-ordinate remedial works activities;
* Review and analyse results of inspections performed by other departments through SAP,inspection reports and assess requirements for inspections and remedial work;
* Provide reliable budget and cost control information for activities tasked with;
* Seek and implement best practice inspection,monitoring and maintenance work processes and technologies;
* Maintain the pipeline specific databases: record key inspection findings and recordable pipeline integrity events and deviations in the appropriate documents / databases;
* Contribute to the preparation of the annual Pipeline Integrity Report (NL and or UK);
* Liaise with and provide support to operations,projects and discipline experts in the field of pipeline operations,integrity and maintenance. This includes advice on risks to pipelines and risers associated with operational procedures,vessel and rig moves and other activities in proximity to offshore pipelines and risers such as third parties executing inspection and construction activities as crossings over the Company operated pipelines;
* Liaise, as directed by the Senior Pipeline Engineer (I.M.R.),with government departments, statutory authorities and professional bodies to ensure legal regulations are met and Companies reputation is safeguarded;
* Establish and maintain good professional relationships with other operators,third parties and government authorities;
*Participate in safety hazard identification and risk reviews with specific focus on pipeline related construction and maintenance activities;
*Work and communicate effectively in a geographically spilt (NL/UK) organisation of specialized engineers where part of the activities will be executed by Contractors and Consultants.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and qualifications:
* Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or demonstrable equivalent qualifications and experience;
*Good knowledge and proficiency of the UK and Dutch languages, both verbally as well as in writing;
The Junior Pipeline Engineer will be trained to get a pipeline engineer. Training on the job will be a main part thereof;
* Substantial experience in planning and execution of maintenance and construction activities of offshore pipelines in an EP or Petrochemical environment;
* Knowledge of pipeline inspection techniques covering inter alia intelligent pigging, ROV-, Sonar-, Diver inspection, ultrasonic and risk-based inspection. Strong focus on integrity management, total cost of ownership and commitment to best HSE management practices;
* Experienced in working with computer based data and information systems like SAP as well as Planning systems and Information databases;
