The Company:
Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

The Role:
As the Junior Technologist you will be responsible for reviewing Quality Documentation from the Contractor for compliance with project specifications and standards. In addition, you will be responsible for performing and coordinating the Daily QC/Construction process activities.

Duties and responsibilities as the Junior Technologist will include:

• Review documentation (QC forms, NCRs) received from the contractor for compliance;
• Review documentation (Daily Construction Reports, Field Focus Checklists, Safety Net) from inspectors for compliance;
• Perform and coordinate the QC process activities associated with the day to day processing/managing of Contractor documents;
• Maintain the structural coding format for content organization associated with the Project and SDRL;
• Ensure the submittal/filing of Contractor's QC forms/reports are sent thru Aconex;
• Ensure the Contractor's As-built Documents are maintained;
• Create and maintain document registers/logs (NCRs, CARs, etc.);
• Assist QC Inspectors in statistical trends, charts reporting to management;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• This position requires 3-5 years of experience working in a construction environment with Technical Documents.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest levels of customer services, confidentiality and ethical behaviour.
• Previous experience with auditing construction QA programs.
• Knowledge of Quality Management principles and ISO 9001 standard.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting. Team player.
• Competent in applications such Adobe, Word, Excel, Aconex, Lotus Notes, Pronto-Forms.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A college diploma or equivalent work experience with Quality Control is highly desirable for this position.
