The Company:
Large oil & gas company (our client) is urgently looking for KARA SEA OIL SPILL RESPONSE ADVISOR


The Role:
• Support the HSE Manager and EPR / OSR Team Lead in providing OSR Support for the Kara Sea Projects. This includes:
- Develop Oil Spill Response Plans (OSRP) for Kara Sea Projects
- Prepare and steward contracts for OSR equipment / materials needs (including commissioning and positioning)
- Participate in assurance audits on OSR service providers and equipment
- Participate in regional /international workshops and stakeholder engagement programs
- Coordinate training and exercises to confirm / test OSR preparedness / status
- Work with Field Interface Advisor to coordinate international cross-border logistics
- Coordinate and participate in delivery of oil spill response exercises
- Review activities and learnings with Operator management on a periodic basis.
• Participate in risk assessments for Kara Sea Projects OSRP as needed; steward OSR follow up items and results for learnings and gap closure
• Monitor Regulatory OSRP time line to ensure required operations / equipment contracts are executed appropriately.

• Support and / or participate in investigations and follow-up of incidents. Provide root cause analysis expertise to support these efforts and review reports.
• May be assigned other services by the JV SHE Team.
• Develop / deliver technical presentations.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• University degree and / or technical diploma / certification, Professional Engineer (PE), National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated work experience in both onshore and offshore exploration projects (including some prior oil & gas experience).
• Broad technical knowledge and HSE skills with working knowledge of Oil Spill Response Programs in the Offshore Arctic
• Ability and desire to function in an integrated project team environment. Ability to develop successful working relationships with emphasis on effective communications in an integrated team environment.
• Maintains a high degree of ethical conduct.
• Must be able to effectively communicate / influence multiple levels, from Senior Level Manager to Worker.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Ability to work in harsh environments (examples include temperature and / or humidity extremes, remote locations with limited amenities) with changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel / live away from home for extended time periods.
• Proficient in use of computers and programs such as Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
• Read, write, and speak fluent English and Russian, as required to function effectively within the JV Team.
• May have location-specific fitness for duty requirements (examples include standing for extended time periods, climbing, bending, walking, reaching).
• No training will be provided (other than JV specific safety standards and procedures).
