The Company:
Our Client provides products and services to major UK-based automotive and construction machinery manufacturers either directly or via their Tier 1 suppliers. Working out of three main locations, their products cover a wide range of sub-assemblies.

The Role:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing the business between the Company and a range of customers spread across either a geographical or vertical sector, or within a Key Account and/or across either new business and existing account relationships.

Core Responsibilities:

- To develop sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets at acceptable levels of profitability
- To manage resulting business both internally and externally, to agreed service levels and other contractual requirements, including invoicing.
- To manage the shape of the sales pipeline and to be responsible for sustaining the pipeline
- To prepare and deliver quotations and presentations to target customers
- To provide timely and accurate reports including sales forecasts and market information
- To promote the Company at every opportunity within the agreed target market

Key Priorities for this role:

- Development of relationships
- Accessibility to key personnel
- Achievement of sales targets

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience within the Automotive industry
- Strong commercial acumen
- Full UK driving license
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Organised, professional and articulate
- Ambitious and confident with a determination to contribute to the Company's future growth
