The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Cost Engineering enables us to take exciting journeys as a business. Providing robust financial information and expert strategic insight, this key department helps drive profitable growth allowing us to make further breakthroughs in the development of premium, luxury vehicles.

A knowledge engineer is required to deliver tactical cost toolsets to drive efficiency improvements within the Cost Engineering team.
You will be involved in system development, creation of knowledge tools for manufacturing processes and support cost engineering function for information and data management. You will need to liaise with cross functional teams from Purchasing / Engineering / Finance / Cost Engineering / Programmes to ensure the delivery of toolsets.

Proven Track record in the design and development of windows / web applications in Microsoft Visual Studio - design and development of applications in MS Access - Possessing a high level of data analysis and interpretation skills - * & Developed quality control activities such as integration testing and code reviews
* Created function specifications coded comments and other technical documentation -
* Collaborated with peer teams for review and analysis of system requirements
* Degree level of Education is preferable"

Experience Preferred:
"- Design and development of web applications in ASP.NET would be an added advantage -
* Expert in debugging an application using the debugging tools provided by the Visual Studio.Net IDE - Experience in Data Adapter, Dataset, Data reader as a part of ADO.NET to access and update database -
* Good interpersonal skills and a highly skilled communicator, you will have the ability to think on your feet and make strong appropriate decisions -
* Ability to analyse and interpret data and convert into meaningful business toolsets -
* Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues to leverage knowledge and experience - Understanding of Manufacturing processes and breakdown of cost would be an added advantage -
* Knowledge in SQL Server Database design, Database maintenance, developing stored procedures, and triggers using SQL Server will be an added advantage"

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1) - Proven experience in analysis, design and development of windows applications in Microsoft Visual Studio using VB.NET or C#
2) - Experience in MS Access will be highly beneficial for this role
3) - Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA Macros
