The Company:

The Role:
• Assistance in design, installation, commissioning, start-up and operation of experimental units / pilot plants
• Developing experimental procedures, preparation and execution of programs
• Analysis of results; posting of results; detailed and accurate record-keeping of experiments.
• Interfacing with engineers/chemist resources on results and subsequent next round of experiments or modifications.
• Operation and Custodian of unit, which includes:
- Ensuring that plant manuals are up to date
- Organizer / coordinator for implementation of unit changes when necessary to execute the agreed experimental programs.
- Routine mechanical maintenance
• Analytical Support (off line GC analysis, sample submissions to analytical department.
• Safe laboratory operation including management of chemicals and upkeep of facilities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Approximately 3 years of experience in operation of pilot plants or bench scale units. Experience in R&D work and/or process development.

Technical Competencies:
Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Analytcial degree (HLO or equivalent). Master written and spoken English.
