The Role:
Perform experimental works (test design, test execution, data acquisition and reporting) relevant to existing/newly designed systems. This position will mainly focus on material testing and characterization.

Support in generating ideas for testing or adjusting experimental set-ups to fit a certain targeted operational procedure at small scale or full scale system.

Being able to comply at all time to HSE rules and avoiding hazards.

Works in line with set targets and agreed time schedules.

Close cooperation with R&D engineers in Rijswijk and implementation team in Houston and New Orleans

Diligence in execution and data gathering

Safe working with material testing, surface characterization, complicated equipment including hot forming process, high pressures, high power electricity and potentially hazardous chemicals

Team player, ability to be part of system testing that involved many parties.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Posses sound knowledge and experience on experimental methods.

Broad understanding and knowledge of underlying concepts to apply high pressures, hydraulic forces and measuring deformations of mechanical structures.

Knowledge of material testing and surface properties characterization is desired.

Knowledge on friction and wear of materials would be beneficial but not required.

Able to communicate and work in English properly

Able to work effectively within a team and cope with changes within a dynamic work program.

Education: BSc/MSc in Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Physics with high affinity on experiments.
