The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Analytical Job role is to carry out tests and analysis, specifically analytical chemistry related. This includes vehicle program activity ~ analysis of powertrain fluids during and after durability tests, (to include Oil, Fuel and Urea solution analysis). Analysis if any development tested parts that have not performed as expected. Materials characterisation to analyse and fingerprint materials both existing and new developments, for future comparison on quality checks. It also includes Warranty and failure investigations, where materials / components are forensically examined to allow root cause

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
1) Knowledge of instrumented analytical techniques (ICP, GC/MS , FT-IR, DSC, KF etc)
2) Ability to apply chemistry knowledge into practical investigations
3) knowledge of wet chemistry techniques

Degree in Chemistry Experience of working in a chemistry laboratory / environment

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Practical knowledge and uses of instrumented analytical techniques (ICP, GC/MS , FT-IR, DSC, KF etc)
Knowledge of automotive systems, powertrain, trim. Knowledge in Failure Mode investigations
