The Company:
Our client is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies conducting business in countries all around the globe. They are engaged in every aspect of the crude oil & natural gas industry, including exploration & production, manufacturing, marketing & transportation, chemicals manufacturing & sales, geothermal, power generation, renewables & advanced technologies.

The Role:
To carry out testing and approval of lubricant components and finished products safely, and in accordance with procedures.
To ensure all product leaving site conforms to required specifications
To maintain Lab equipment and facilities to required standard.
To support change management on site

Principal Accountabilities:
To test products in accordance with test methods/procedures in such a manner so as to minimise delays to blending, filling and logistics.
To carry out other test/development work under the direction of the Chief Chemist.
To manage and prioritise the workload and give approval for product, at times working with no supervision.
To assist in maintaining and calibrating equipment and lab facilities.
To calculate and apply corrective action to non conforming product.
Shift work will be required after a training period.
Occasional weekend work may be required.

Skills Required:
Ability to work alone after suitable training, having sole responsibility for the Lab outside normal working hours.
Interface with production and other teams.
Working to a tight timeline under pressure

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
ONC or A level standard of education.
Laboratory experience
Problem solving skills
Team working skills
Computer and communication skills
Good HSSE awareness.
