The Role:

• Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Demonstrate commitment to Health Safety and Environment, through application of OMS requirements in respect of all Regulatory and Land Affairs team activities.
• Demonstrate ethical business practice, meeting company’s “Code of Conduct” principles.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, project agreements and relevant procedures. Be familiar with Guide on Land Acquisition and Compensation for SCPx project.
• Provide implementation of the developed guidance for SCPx Land Acquisition Project with respect to satisfying Regulatory submission requirements for Land Allotment, Compensation, Permitting, Concordance and Approval.
• Work with Districts’ Regulatory Bodies (including governors), municipals and landowners for obtaining the required permits, licenses and approvals in connection with Land issues.
• Provide the land acquisition process and compensation program that are timely, legal and reflects company values and practices.
• Support Project Team and Contractors in site activities in connection with local authorities and land owners.
• Provide support to Construction Contractors in pre-entry activities.
• Monitor land reinstatement process with respect to satisfying company (HSE) and Regulatory Bodies requirements, mediate between Construction Contractors and landowners.
• Take part in Community Relation Program and Public Awareness Program.
• Updating of the landowners’ databases and operations activity reports on a weekly basis.
• When required assist in investigating community grievances
• Support ASAN services work in regions by collecting and providing all required information on land issues in timely and accurate manner. Accompany all ASAN service representatives visits to villages and individual households.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Azerbaijani – fluent speaking, writing and reading. Basic English
Previous experience with NGOs, working on various projects in the regions is beneficial

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
University degree is desirable
Russian is preferable
Social, negotiation, communication and legal procedural skills are desirable
