The Company:
A Major International Manufacturing Company based in UAE is experiencing rapid & continued growth and as a result are looking for a number of experts in the field to support operations.

The Role:
• Develop and manage the Laser Tracker facility and be the first point of contact both internal/external for investigations requiring this resource.
• Contribute to repeatability and consistency of products via the Laser Tracker facility.
• Responsible for the incoming inspection of jigs, tools and etc. Create reports as required.
• Accountable for liaising with suppliers of such items mentioned above and their appropriate departments, to discuss and rectify any quality queries.
• Responsible for working with the designated Quality Engineer to coordinate and complete corrective and preventive actions in agreed time scale for both tooling & components.
• Manage the Laser Tracker ‘resource’ & your own workload to the best interests of the business needs.
• Implement best practices through conducting regular cycle checks as per Quality / Customer instructions

• Use CATIA Models (V4/V5) to be able to check components and tools.
• Read drawings and use the data to translate references via Laser Tracker and T-probe.
• Inspection of tools, jigs and fixtures and create reports when necessary. Liaise with third party tool-room to rectify errors when necessary.
• Reverse engineer where necessary, to create 3D models using the Tracker and probe.
• Capture information in other formats and convert it into data containing usable Geometrical & Dimensional tolerances.
• Define and structure procedural documentation for the Laser Tracker facility.
• Participate in any necessary quality improvements to the current Quality Management System.
• Provide support to all other aspects of the business where needed.
• Participate in internal quality Audits

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of composite and metallic material characteristics.
• Knowledge of Auditing to ISO / AS9100 standards.
• ‘Hands on’ knowledge of all aspects of day to day use of a Laser Tracker, and the ability to translate the information into usable data.
• Working knowledge of both Leica and T-Probe.
• Working knowledge of 3DCAD System (CATIA V5) as applied to Laser Tracker operations.
• Working Knowledge of 3DCAD system (CATIA V%) as applied to Laser Track operations
• Strong Technical background previously gained in mechanical calibration
• Self motivated and energetic with good team working and communication and presentation skills.
• Good analytical abilities and be able to demonstrate logical thinking ability

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• HND or Degree in Quality /Engineering or related disciplines.
• HND or Degree in Quality /Engineering or related disciplines.
• 3 - 5 years extensive experience in the area of Aerospace composite manufacturing.
• Expected to be from a Skilled Aircraft Shop Floor background (possibly Tool-room), with a broad base appreciation of the industry as a whole.
• Very good experience in liaising with multi disciplined departments and teams on a daily basis.
• Experience on ISO 9001:2000 and/or AS9100 would be an advantage.
• Strong Calibration experience (specific to Laser Tracking) in the realm of aerospace
