The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Chassis Launch Engineer - the role is the interface between the Chassis CoC and the Manufacturing team. As part of the specific programme team they are responsible for the day to day support of the Prototype and Pre-Production build process providing primary contact for technical confirmation, queries and issue resolution. The role has primary duties in parts and Bill of Materials management, technical data dissemination with the manufacturing group and issue resolution.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills Required:
Project management skills . Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required Highly motivated self starter and able to work within large multifunctional teams Able to work in high pressure environment Must be IT literate - Microsoft office.

Experience Required:
2-5 years of project management experience. Engineering background Experience of negotiation, balancing customer needs / specifications and cost targets.

Education Required:
Degree preferred but not essential with relevant automotive experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Skills Preferred:
Understanding of vehicle architecture desirable, particularly chassis components. Knowledge of JLR (Ford) systems may be advantageous but is not essential

Experience Preferred:
Automotive Experience of large matrix organisation

Education Preferred:
Time served Automotive apprenticeship.

Additional Information :
Role could involve working on sites through out the West Midlands but will be predominantly be based on one production plant during a Model Year build.
