The Role:
Wind Noise Launch Engineer covering: Wind Noise representative at daily start up meeting and launch AIMs reviews Generation of QOE documents with input from SME Present the wind noise status to the Launch Team at the relevant NML Reviews. Attend PCPA & DQR meetings, root cause issues and respond. Assess with PCPA & dynamic audit as required, leading root cause investigation of issues. Prepare evaluation vehicles. Participate in R202 drives and VET assessment as required. Coordinate update of FEU fleet and responsed to FMS issues. Work with CoC and SME to monitor build identifying potential wind noise issues and recommending solutions. Support solution development with engineering and manufacturing. Support online product coaches with information on wind noise build concerns. Raise AIMs from build. Raise AIMs from PCPA & Dynamic Audit. Maintain the launch metric data. Ensure all lessons learnt from the launch are captured in the Core Team data base. Support VP full vehicle EBHS testing in post build & coordinate vehicle post build activities for full vehicle EBHS measures. Support AWT testing and track assessments/night drives as required. Alignment of PCPA & dynamic audit to wind noise rating. Containment plans in place as defined by SME for all issues using appropriate documents (RIS, 8D, safe VIN). Coordinate update of eCube with latest wind noise modifications

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Good team player, able to lead a virtual team of design, development, and manufacturing associates to identify and resolve wind noise and EBHS design and manufacturing issues. Good background in general engineering methods and standards. Experience of problem solving tools e.g. Six Sigma, etc. and quality engineering processes e.g. FMEA, Form 4 mapping, DOE, etc. Good communication and presentation skills to all levels. The ability to achieve results in an efficient manner, making effective use of all resources available within the company and outside. Creativity and innovation; and an ablility and willingness to cooperate in cross-functional teams. Good data analysis and PC skills. Full UK driving licence. Prepared to travel abroad to support wind noise testing. Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a manufacturing launch team environment. Able to manage multiple tasks. Prepared to work evenings and weekends at keys periods of the project
