The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Build/ Launch Support Engineer will work with the component delivery Lead Engineers to deliver the technical and gateway deliverables on a Jaguar Land Rover brakes programmes. Liasing with Lead Engineers, build teams and supplier base contacts: Design build confirmation
Build issue problem definition
Countermeasure definition
Countermeasure deployment

Essential Experience and Qualifications
Proven multi-disciplinary technical team leadership ¿ Strong communication and interpersonal skills ¿ able to confidently present issue status reports to Gaydon Design core team, suppliers and programme teams ¿ Knowledge of automotive chassis systems. ¿ Comprehensive ability to work with MS Office applications and manage large numbers of records in different formats. ¿ Ability to work in fast paced environment ¿ Full UK driving licence for Cat B vehicles This position is not targeting the recent graduates or junior engineers but is targeting those aspiring to high level senior management. The individual will need to be enthusiastic and energetic and will have a strong ¿Can Do¿ approach. Minimum 2 years post-graduation experience in a mechanical or automotive engineering environment
Degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering (2:1 or higher)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
An understanding of related Chassis systems, such as suspension structures. ¿ Knowledge of product development processes ¿ Knowledge of APQP, WERS, eFDVS and other Quality Tools ¿ Knowledge of the use of CAE techniques in an engineering context ¿ Knowledge of the 6-Sigma process ¿ Green Belt qualified
Experience of the mechanical design of Chassis components & Systems
Post graduate qualification in Engineering or Management
